Avatar Blu-Ray Announcement

On Earth Day April 22, 2010. 20th Century Fox will release the first of no doubt MANY editions of James Cameron’s Avatar.  This will be a bare bones edition, so bare bones in fact that it will not have any kind of menu, or company title cards.  The reasoning for this is to dedicate as much space as possible on the disc for the data elements of the film.  Fox has already stated that come November there will be a Special Edition of the film hitting store shelves so only buy this one if you really want to.  As far as the technical specs go expect a 2.40:1 1080p transfer and a 6.1 DTS-Master Audio track.
