Sequels are rarely ever better than the original that came before it, but occasionally you get one that shines through.  Unfortunately Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen does not surpass the original but it does a good job at being consistent with the first.  Taking place a couple of years after the events of the first film, the Autobots are now working with the military to fight the Decipticons.  But when an ancient enemy comes back the Autobots find them in for the fight of their lives.  Paramount/Dream Works did an excellent job with the presentation of the first film on Blu-ray (as well as HD-DVD)  and the sequel is no different, the picture quality is amazing.  And the 5.1 DTS-Master Audio track is a feast for the ears as well.  The disc isn’t short on extras either you get your fill of a little bit of everything: Audio Commentary, In-Depth Making of Documentary, and more!  While the film is a little light on depth (but who really looks to Michael Bay for depth) Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen succeeds at being a great looking, fun action-packed spectacle of a movie and is well worth the purchase!
