Ah, how the good die young, Pushing Daisies was one of those shows that never got a fair shake. Luckily for us we can now see season two the way the creators intended and with no long breaks in between. Pushing Daisies is the story of a Pie Maker with the ability to bring back the dead who also moonlights as a private eye. The show is very quirky and burtonesq, packed with whimsy and mushy love. Unfortunately Pushing Daisies has been canceled… However there’s hope for a motion picture, that will hopefully wrap up the story in a satisfying way.

Technically the Audio and Video get the job done and then some. A great High Def video transfer with a pretty good audio soundtrack. Those “Extra” junkies out there might be a tad disappointed. There are only a hand full of self praising making of type featurettes. Some cast and creator commentary tracks would have been really great with a show like this. All in all if you’re into quirky fantasy and love stories you should at the very least rent (or buy) Pushing Daisies Season 2.
