With the recent release of the new Transformers flick Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen Hasbro (and with good reason) has decided to repackage the first season of the original TV show. By now every living person knows a little something about The Transformers… Basically a race of living robots crash land on earth and bring with them a civil war they have been fighting for centuries. If you were old enough to remember the 80’s then most of you will have a soft spot for these giant robots that can change into cars, planes & other various machinery.

This is the first time you can have the whole season in one box set, previously it were broken into volumes, so this is a welcome changed. The video quality & sound are are both pretty good, they say it’s a new transfer and audio mix, but it doesn’t seem that different. Extras are pretty slim, however there is a 20 min. doc about the creation of the Transformers which is definitely worth watching. While there is nothing extraordinary about this box set, it’s pretty much exactly what any Transformers fan would want… all the episodes in one package with a good transfer. Bottom line it’s a must buy for any Transformers fan.
