And now the big one…The Nominations for the 82nd annual Academy Awards have been announced. The Oscar telecast will be held March 7th on ABC. For the most part everyone you suspected to get nominated did, there were some surprises though, Woody Harrelson’s nomination for The Messenger came out of left field, as well as District 9 in [...]
Sony has officially announced that Marc Webb, the director of what some call Indie flick of the year (500) Days of Summer will be the director behind their Spider-Man reboot. there’s been a whole lot of hooping and hollering about rebooting too soon, but I for one welcome this with open arms. The last flick [...]
To say Star Wars has been a major part of my childhood would be an understatement, and like most people my age we have continued our great affection for the franchise into our adult lives.
I’ll tell you one thing… this trailer sure does look awesome. The look is definitely retro with a modern twist, they took the iconic elements from the bots we loved and just spruced them up and gave them Cybertronian forms. There are no signs of the super sharp over designed bots from the movies here. If you pay close attention to the trailer you’ll even see Trypticon and Omega Supreme!
A pretty shitty looking version of the new A-Team trailer has been making the rounds this weekend. We decided to wait for an official HD version and it’s finally out.
The A-Team starts Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Distric 9’s Sharlto Copley & MMA star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. This newest entry in the TV-to-Movie remake is directed by Joe Carnahan the man behind Narc & Smoking Aces.
It has become sort of a tradition here at the end of the year/beginning of the following year that I go through my favorite film releases of the year, and this year is no different. 2009 turned out to be a very good year when it came to smaller movies, though there were a couple of pretty good tent pole releases but for the most part they failed to deliver the goods, and as usual the…
Director Sam Mendes (Revolutionary Road, Road To Perdition, Jarhead) is in negotations to direct the 23rd outing for super spy James Bond (Daniel Craig). Romantic Comedies, how I loath thee. It seems there are hundreds that come out every year and for the most part they aren’t much to write about, but this year we were given two this that really rise above the rest, Away We Go, and (500) Days of Summer, but these two films proved there is a way to bring something fresh and new to one …
Two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter’s upcoming wedding, and Paul (Tracy Morgan) is his “partner-against-crime” whose preoccupation with his wife’s [...]
There are very few directors out there whose work I follow almost religiously; Quentin Tarantino is one of them. Tarantino has been working on Inglourious Basterds for the better part of a decade now, always putting it aside for other projects (Kill Bill, and Grindhouse). After those two projects he decided to move forwa…
Check out this awesome 4min. doc-style trailer about the game and it’s setting. The first game in this series Red Dead Revolver had an interesting history, starting at capcom and finally released by Rockstar. It was definitly a sleeper hit & fan favorite. Personally I’m glad to see a super pretty version of the game.
Red [...]
